Knitwear designer

   A designer who is responsible for the inspiration and design of a knitwear collection is a knitwear designer. Knowledge of various sweater yarns and gauges, stitches and patterns, and color is mandatory. This designer must also be familiar with computer technologies such as seamless and whole garment machinery, as well as the CAD software programs used in the knitwear industry, including Primavision and U4ia.
